COVID 19 Vaccine -update 9/19/2022

The new Bivalent Pfizer and Moderna have arrived Clover pharmacy last week. It is a newly designed vaccine covers 2 areas (that is why we call it Bi-valent). One is the original COVID and the other is Omicron BA4 and BA5 sub-variant. BA5 sub-variant has made up 89.7% of Omicron cases in Alameda County as of Sept 13 2022. Currently, Pfizer product is approved for people 12+ years old and Moderna is approved for people 18+ years old. In addition, you will need to complete the primary series of COVID vaccine and your last COVID vaccine has been longer than 2 months to qualify for the new booster. 5-11 years old bivalent product will arrive next and hopefully before the end of this year. Stay tuned on it. As of today, Moderna booster still experiencing production delay and manufacture expect to resolve the issue in a week or two. However, Clover Pharmacy still have ample supply of it. Stay tuned for the more info.

Although it was windy and rainy, we are glad that we were able to make it to "Newark Days" and administer the new COVID vaccine to you all. Serving the local community has been something we enjoy doing!
