As of 8/16/2022, Alameda county has access to 5603 doses of Monkeypox vaccine. CDPH and local health jurisdiction (i.e. Alameda County, Santa Clara County) have made their own criteria in prioritizing the vaccine to certain high risk population. Please stay tuned to your county website for more updated info. Clover Pharmacy has received a supply of Monkeypox vaccine from Alameda County. We are following Alameda County guidelines to prioritize the vaccine to certain population. Please check out the links under reference.
At this time, Monkeypox vaccine is by appointment only to minimize wastage. NO WALK-IN please.
Residents are eligible for a JYNNEOS vaccine if they identify as:
Close contact to someone with confirmed MPX
Close contact to someone with high clinical suspicion (i.e., characteristic rash and risk factors) for MPX
Close contact with others at a venue or event or within a social group where a suspected or confirmed MPX case was identified
Persons living with HIV who are gay, bisexual, other men who have sex with men, or transgender persons who have sex with men who have had:
A sexually transmitted infection such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, or syphilis in the past month; or
More than one sex partner in the past month
A healthcare professional who has been identified with a high or intermediate risk occupational exposure to someone who has confirmed MPX according to the CDC exposure risk assessment
A laboratory worker who routinely handles MPX virus samples for diagnosis or testing purposes
